#SackRahulDravid Trends On Twitter As India Lost 2nd ODI After Resting Virat & Rohit
The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid is getting slammed a lot after India lost the second ODI against West Indies. This ODI was played at Kensington Oval Barbados and with this win, the hosts managed to level the series by 1-1 as India had won the first ODI of the 3-match series.
A lot of experimentation has taken place in the Indian cricket team since Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the head coach of the team and what is really unfortunate is that the majority of these experiments have backfired rather than giving positive results.
In yesterday’s match, both the senior players – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested and the batting order was changed a lot. Sanju Samson and Axar Patel, both the batters who usually play in the middle-order were sent at number 3 and 4, respectively and Suryakumar Yadav who usually plays in the middle-order was sent to bat at number 6.
The Indian side got a good start as the openers Shubman Gill (34 runs, 49 balls, 5 fours) and Ishan Kishan (55 runs, 55 balls, 6 fours & 1 six) produced a partnership of 90 runs for the first wicket but after they both got dismissed, the remaining batters failed in putting up a fight against the West Indian bowlers and the whole team got out for 181 runs in 40.5 overs.
The hosts also got off to a steady start as Brandon King (15 runs) and Kyle Mayers (36 runs) stitched a partnership of 53 runs for the first wicket. The skipper Shai Hope (63 runs not out, 80 balls, 2 fours & 2 sixes) and West Indian batter Keacy Carty (48 runs not out, 65 balls, 4 fours) played brilliant knocks and ensured that their team went home as winners. West Indies won the match by 6 wickets as they achieved the target in 36.4 overs and now the final ODI will be the decider of the series.
The Indian cricket fans lost their cool after team India lost the match to a team which has been disqualified from the World Cup 2023 and soon #SackDravid started trending on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Many fans were of the opinion that Rahul Dravid is on the path of recreating the memories of the 2007 World Cup in which India had a very disappointing run.

Dravid can play a guy who is still learning to play odi just before the WC but won't let a guy with 60+ Avg to play Among us
Dravid can give him infinite opportunities but won't give a single chance to Ruturaj Gaikwad

In the post-match presentation when Rahul Dravid was asked about the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the match, he said that playing both of them would not have given us answers. He continued by saying that they needed to look at a bigger picture and not just a single game or series because they have only two-three matches before the Asia Cup and the World Cup so they needed to find some answers by resting Virat and Rohit.
The Wall as his fans call him states that they are not worried about what others say because all the boys have performed well before reaching here. He accepts that they are a little disappointed with the performance, despite the fact that the wicket was a little tricky still the Indian team should have scored 50-60 runs more.
Do you agree with Rahul Dravid because many former cricketers feel that by now, the team management should have decided the squad which will play the Asia Cup and the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and those players should play maximum cricket before going in the big tournaments? Let us know your views in this regard.
