Ishan Kishan’s Stump-Mic Compilation Instructing Virat Kohli & Sledging WI Batter Goes Viral
The two-match test series between India and West Indies started yesterday with the first test being played at Windsor Park Dominica and as of now, India seems to be in a strong position in the first test match.
Two young Indian cricketers got the chance to make their debut in the first test match, while Yashasvi Jaiswal has opened the Indian innings with skipper Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has been shifted to number 3 spot which was Cheteshwar Pujara’ s batting position for a long time. The other Indian cricketer who made his debut is wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan who replaced KS Bharat.
Though Ishan Kishan was in the Indian squad which played the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the WTC final as well yet the management chose to go with KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan was kept in the team as a reserve wicketkeeper.
Ishan Kishan’s first day as a wicketkeeper was quite good as he took two catches, one on the bowling of Shardul Thakur and other on the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja. Ishan Kishan was quite active behind the wickets as he not only kept well but also kept encouraging the bowlers, tried to break the concentration of batters and there was an instance when he was heard giving instructions to Virat Kohli and Yashavi Jaiswal.
A Twitter user compiled some instances which were heard through stump mic. Here is the recording:

As far as the match is concerned, the hosts won the toss and chose to bat first but their decision proved wrong as the whole team got bundled out at the score of 150 in their first innings. The highest scorer for West Indies was Alick Athanaze who scored 47 runs. On the other hand, India is off to a good start as they have scored 80 runs without losing any wicket. By the end of day 1, India was trailing by 70 runs with Rohit Sharma (30) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (40) at the crease.
Ishan Kishan is a cool chap, isn’t he?
