Harmanpreet Has The Coolest Response To Anchor Calling Her Jemimah, Indians Blast Broadcasters

The Indian women’s cricket team has made a great comeback in the 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh as they defeated the hosts in the second ODI by 108 runs. The second ODI was played yesterday (19 July 2023) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur and the Indian team performed superbly after having a disappointing run in the first match in which the hosts made a big upset. Now the series is leveled at 1-1 and the final match will be the decider of the series.

In the second ODI, Jemimah Rodrigues played a brilliant knock of 86 runs (78 balls, 9 fours) and helped her team in posting a total of 228/8 on the score board. Harmanpreet Kaur also played a valiant knock of 52 runs (88 balls, 3 fours) despite having pain in her left hand. The Bangladeshi squad was not able to face the bowling attack of team India and the whole team got out for 120 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues was adjudged as the Player of the Match as she took 4 wickets and gave away only 3 runs in her 3.1 overs.

However, a weird incident happened in the post-match presentation as the anchor referred to Harmanpreet Kaur as Jemimah Rodrigues after talking to her and Harmanpreet’s response was quite savage.

As the interview got over, the anchor stated, “Thank you Jemimah” and in response, the Indian skipper said only two words, “Harmanpreet Kaur” after which the anchor corrected himself.

The third and the final ODI of the series will be played on 22 July 2023 at the same venue and both the nations will try their best to win the match in order to win the series.
