One more unusual thing happened in this test match, Virat Kohli who usually bats at number 4 didn’t come to bat in the second innings and instead Ishan Kishan was promoted up the order and he scored the first half-century of his career. Ishan Kishan played a knock of 52 runs for which he faced 34 balls and his innings included 4 fours and 2 sixes. Rohit Sharma declared the Indian innings at 181/2 and gave a target of 365 runs to the hosts to win the match.

By the end of the day 4, West Indies had lost the wickets of skipper Kraigg Brathwaite (28 runs) and Kirk McKenzie (0) and they were 76/2 with Tagenarine Chanderpaul (24 runs) and Jermaine Blackwood (20 runs) at the crease.
