Asit Modi Blamed Malav Rajda When Nidhi Quit Taarak Mehta Show, Reveals Priya Ahuja

The popular TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making headlines for quite some time whether it is because of the allegations of s*xual harassment that have been leveled by actress Jennifer Mistry against the makers or the speculations of Disha Vakani returning to the show. In other words, the show and the makers have managed to stay in limelight for some or the other reason.

Malav Rajda, the former director of the show who directed TMKOC for a long period of 14 years, has also shared his opinion on the recent controversies but recently, his wife and actress Priya Ahuja who played the character of Rita Reporter in the show made some shocking revelations.

Priya said in an interview that Malav used to share a strong bond with the Tapu Sena actors and when Nidhi Bhanushali aka Sonu quit the show, Asit Kumarr Modi blamed Malav for it as Modi stated that Malav gave unnecessary importance to Tapu Sena and he should keep his personal and professional relations separate.

Priya also talked about the times when Malav Rajda had a bike accident, he underwent a surgery and was advised bed rest for 1.5 months but he returned to work just 20 days after the surgery as he kept the show above his health. Priya said that despite being loyal to the show, Asit Kumarr Modi scolded Malav as the show had suffered and said that it is his fault as he should have been careful while driving. Priya also said that her hubby had to bear the taunts even when he was not able to return to Daman immediately after their son Ardaas underwent a surgery.

Priya further said that because Malav didn’t take proper rest after the surgery, his recovery was not good and it resulted in a limp which continued for nearly 1-2 years.

She further said that when Malav Rajda decided to quit, gave resignation and was serving his notice paper, Asit Kumarr Modi told the operations head Sohail Ramani to tell Malav that he doesn’t need to serve notice period and he doesn’t need to come from the next day. Priya said that it was done in order to ensure that Asit Kumarr Modi’s image doesn’t look bad and people think that it is Modi who fired Malav and not Malav who has quit the show.
