1. Raazi (2018):

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi was based on Harinder Sikka’s novel, Calling Sehmat (2008) which is said to be the story of a Kashmiri girl who becomes an agent of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and on her father’s request, she marries a Pakistani military officer whose father and brother are also military officers. Her inputs from across the borders help India a lot in the 1971 war.

2. Baby (2015):

Akshay Kumar starrer Baby was a spy action thriller movie in which an elite team of the Indian Intelligence system not only finds the whereabouts of t*rrorists but also eliminates them. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu and others in important roles.

3. War (2019):

Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor starrer “War” was based on the story of a RAW agent who used to lead an elite unit trained for high-risk missions but a twist came when he turned rogue and another agent was send to eliminate the rogue agent.

4. Tiger series:

Till now, three movies have been made in this franchise – Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Tiger 3 (2023). The franchise features Salman Khan playing the character of a RAW agent whose codename is Tiger while Katrina Kaif is a Pakistani ISI agent. In the three parts, they both have gone on different missions and have helped each other in eliminating the negative characters.

5. Pathaan (2023):

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer is also a part of YRF spy universe in which once again a RAW (exiled) agent and a female Pakistani ISI agent come together to eliminate the t*rrorist and save the world. Pathaan not only won  many awards but it is also one of the highest grosser of all times.

6. Khufiya (2023):

The movie stars Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi in important roles and it is based on the espionage novel Escape to Nowhere which has been authored by Amar Bhushan. This spy thriller is about a RAW operative who is assigned a mission to find a mole in the organization that is selling defense secrets and information.

7. Force 2 (2016):

John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer is the second movie of the Force franchise and in this film, Sonakshi is playing the character of a RAW agent who teams up with John Abraham for finding the culprit who is behind the killings of RAW agents in China. Tahir Raj Bhasin also plays an important role in this movie.

8. Agent Vinod (2012):

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starred in this movie in which Saif played the role of a RAW agent who was assigned the task of finding out what “242” is.

9. Madras Café (2013):

Madras Café is set in the 1980s and 1990s with John Abraham playing the character of a RAW agent in this political spy thriller. John’s character was sent to Sri Lanka for a covert operation where he gets entangled in civil war and also gets to know about a conspiracy of ki*ling the Indian Prime Minister.

10. The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003):

Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta starrer “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” was not just a spy movie but it also had a romantic angle to it and with this film, Priyanka Chopra also debuted in Bollywood. Sunny Deol played the character of an undercover RAW agent who is assigned the duties of gaining information about the cross-border t*rrorist activities.

11. Ankhen (1968):

Directed by Ramanand Sagar, this is the movie which made him win his only Filmfare Award for the Best Director. The film starred Dharmendra, Mala Sinha, Mahmood and others in important roles and it was one of the biggest hits of its times.
