Pak Vs USA- Babar Azam Ignored Mohammad Amir’s Advice & Team Paid Huge Price

The T20 World Cup 2024 campaign of Pakistan is in a little trouble after losing their first league match against the debutant USA. Babar Azam-led team is getting trolled and slammed heavily on social media as the fans are not able to believe that the Pakistan side which they considered as favourites to win the trophy lost to USA.

The USA team seemed to be more relaxed and more confident in comparison to the Pak squad and USA proved themselves better that Pakistan in all the segments of the game – whether batting, bowling or fielding. While Pakistan kept losing wickets regularly and managed to score 159 runs after losing 7 wickets, USA lost only 3 batters before the match got tied and the Pakistani bowlers who are touted as the best bowlers of the world were not able to wrap up the team which was playing the T20 World Cup for the first time.

The match went into superover and Pakistan could not score 19 runs and lost the match.

Babar Azam’s captaincy is also getting criticized and there was a moment after the 15th over of the USA innings when Mohammed Amir was heard on stump mic, telling Babar Azam that Aaron Jones (USA batter) plays spin well so it will be better to give bowling to a pacer.

However, Babar Azam ignored Amir’s advice and he gave bowling to Shadab Khan in the 16th over and 11 runs were scored in that over including a six on the fourth delivery.

The Pakistani team will be facing their arch-rivals India tomorrow and if they fail in winning the match, their chances of entering the super eight will be very bleak.
