5) The Osian’s Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema (OCFFAAC)

This film festival was founded in 1999 as an outgrowth of Cinemaya, a quarterly Asian cinema magazine published in New Delhi. It aims to celebrate and promote the rich and diverse cinematic traditions of Asia and the Arab world.

With nine days of high-quality film screenings, panel discussions, and the presence and participation of film professionals from all over the world and India, the Festival has gained international recognition for its high calibre of films. Although the dates may vary, it is generally held between 1st December- 10th December every year. 6) The Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF)

The Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) has been organised by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) since 2002.  Its goals are to give the global film community a common platform to express itself through films and to foster international friendship and cooperation. With this aim, it showcases international as well as Indian feature films, with a focus on Tamil films. CIFF is held annually in December and is a significant event for film enthusiasts and industry professionals. It is one of the greatest festivals in the South and attracts cinephiles from around the globe.
