Rohit Sharma To Miss India Vs Pakistan? Here’s What Happened
The Indian cricket team will be facing their arch-rivals Pakistan tomorrow in their second league match which will be played at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
India will play their 3 out of 4 league matches at the same venue and the inconsistent behaviour of the pitch is a matter of concern for the Indian team. In the first league match which India played against Ireland, Rohit Sharma got hit at his right bicep as the ball bounced unevenly after which he got retired hurt. After the match, Rohit Sharma told that it was a sore arm but there is one more bad news, Rohit Sharma got his thumb injured during the practice session.
There has been no official update regarding the injury of Rohit Sharma and whether he will play in the match against Pakistan or not. If Rohit Sharma is not able to lead the team, Hardik Pandya will lead and most probably Yashasvi Jaiswal will get the chance to open the innings with Virat Kohli.
Many former Indian cricketers have termed the drop-in pitch at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium as sub-standard and unsafe for the players and after huge uproar, the ICC had to take notice of the matter and it assured that proper remedy will be provided in this regard.
As far as Pakistan is concerned, Babar Azam-led team is already getting slammed a lot after losing their first league match to the USA team that is playing in the T20 World Cup for the first time. What’s more hurtful for Pakistani fans is the fact that this was the first match between Pakistan and USA and the latter proved themselves superior in all the segments.
If Pakistan loses against India, their chances of entering super eight will get almost over so it is important for the Pakistan team to bounce back but in the T20 World Cups, India has always had an upper hand excluding one chance.
Which team will win according to you – India or Pakistan?
