David Dhawan Opens Up On Salman Khan’s Emotional Side & Their Bond
Few partnerships in Bollywood have been as successful and enduring as the one between Salman Khan and filmmaker David Dhawan. Known for delivering multiple blockbuster hits together, their collaboration has shaped some of the most entertaining films in Indian cinema. But according to David Dhawan, their relationship goes far beyond the sets.

In a recent interaction, David Dhawan spoke warmly about Salman Khan, calling him not just a superstar but also a deeply kind and emotional person. He shared that they have worked on around 8 to 9 films together over the years and have built a strong bond through constant support and understanding. David Dhawan emphasised that Salman has always stood by him, not just professionally but also personally, extending his care to the entire family.
He also reflected on their journey, mentioning how they have traveled across the world for shoots and spent a lot of time together beyond work. According to him, their comfort level and mutual respect have helped them maintain a unique and lasting friendship. Even after the cameras stop rolling, Salman remains grounded and emotionally connected to people around him.

The duo has delivered several memorable hits, especially during the 1990s and early 2000s. Films like Judwaa, Biwi No.1, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi continue to be fan favourites even today.
On the work front, Salman Khan is preparing for his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, produced by Salma Khan and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, with Chitrangada Singh in an important role. Meanwhile, David Dhawan’s next film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde will now release on June 12 instead of June 5. The film will face a box office clash with Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Vedang Raina.
