KL Rahul Says He Is On Suniel Shetty’s Side & Will Cheer For Sharma Ji Ka Beta Ahead Of T20WC

The Indian cricketer KL Rahul had a pretty disappointing IPL 2024 and his team Lucknow Super Giants got knocked out of the race of play-offs as it won only 7 out of 14 matches and is currently at the sixth position in the points table.

What made it worse for KL Rahul was that he did not get selected in India’s T20 squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 because the Karnataka wicketkeeper-batter wasn’t able to make an impact with the bat too.

LSG played their last league match yesterday against MI which KL Rahul-led team won by 18 runs and after the match, he said that now he will be on the side of his father-in-law and they both will be glued to television, cheering for ‘Sharma Ji Ka Beta’ (Sharma ji’s son) along with the whole Indian team as they will be playing in the T20 World Cup.

By father-in-law’s side, KL Rahul must have been referring to the IPL advertisement in which he got cold shoulder from Suniel Shetty (his father-in-law) as he is a fan of Mumbai Indians.

Talking about the IPL 2024, KL Rahul said that it was a very disappointing season. He said that at the start of the season, he felt very strong as the team looked strong at all the fronts but then few players got injured which happens with every team but the players who went away made the team weaker. He accepted that his team didn’t play well collectively.

Speaking about the clash against MI, he said that they were not able to come together and play as they wanted to in earlier matches and they wished to play in the manner as they played against MI when the batters and the bowlers come together to win the match.

It won’t be just KL Rahul and his father-in-law who will be glued to the television, the whole country will be cheering for ‘Sharma Ji Ka Beta’ and the Indian team.
