X Floods With Memes As Heavy Rains In Mumbai Cause Waterlogging, Trains & Flights Cancellation

The monsoon has reached almost all parts of the country and it is raining almost everywhere, while some places are experiencing drizzling, several other places are facing heavy rainfall.

The financial capital of the country, Mumbai came to a standstill today morning as more than 300 mm rainfall was recorded from 1 am to 7 am. Due to heavy rains, many trains and flights were cancelled and due to waterlogging, commuters faced huge problems in reaching their offices. Though the workers of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are working very hard to get rid of waterlogging, it will take some time for them to control the situation.

The city is not going to get relief soon as the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted more rains and chances of flooding and has issued Orange Alert for Mumbai along with Thane, Palghar and the Konkan region.

As the situation seems to worsen further, the authorities have already ordered the government, private and municipal schools to remain closed in order to ensure safety of kids and school staff.
