“Indian Team Is Being Destroyed, Pakistan Have More Settled Side,” Claims Sarfaraz Nawaz

There is no denying the fact that many experiments have taken place in the Indian team in the last couple of years and still we haven’t been able to win any major event. Though the Indian team played well in the bilateral series, they haven’t been able to end the drought of ICC trophies and it has been more than 10 years that we won any ICC trophy.

The ICC ODI World 2023 will be played in India which makes the Indian team one of the favourites to win the tournament as they will get to play in their home conditions but what have made the matters worse for the Indian squad are the injuries of its star players. This has resulted in the team management trying out new combinations in order to prepare the best team for the tournament.

The Indian head coach Rahul Dravid is nowadays getting slammed a lot especially after he preferred to give chances to youngsters and didn’t let Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli play in the ODI series against West Indies. Many were angry because these two will certainly be a part of the squad so they feel that these two should play maximum matches before the World Cup and by resting them, Rahul Dravid will break their momentum.

The teams from Asia will clash against each other before the World Cup in the Asia Cup 2023 and it can be seen as a preparation for the World Cup. India will face their arch-rivals on 2 September at Pallekele Stadium in the Asia Cup 2023 and a former Pakistani cricketer feels that Pakistan will have an upper hand in this contest. In fact, this Pakistani player has made a huge statement for India which may not go well with Indian fans.

We are talking about Sarfaraz Nawaz who represented his country in 55 test matches and 45 ODIs. While talking to mediapersons in Lahore, the former Pakistani pacer states that if we compare both the sides, the Pakistani team is more stable and settled for both Asia Cup and World Cup, India hasn’t been able to find the right combinations for the big events. He further adds that many players have been tried in the Indian camp, captains have also changed and in his opinion, instead of developing, the Indian team has been destroyed.

Sarfaraz Nawaz further says that certainly the host nation will be under pressure for winning the tournament and India will be under more pressure because they haven’t won any ICC trophy in the last 10 years. The only good point that Sarfaraz Nawaz sees in the current Indian team is that they have good senior players.
