MS Dhoni, who has not played a single game this season due to a calf injury suffered before the IPL 2026 began, is still very much involved behind the scenes. He regularly attends training sessions, where Michael Hussey described him as energetic and lively. On the fitness front, Michael Hussey reiterated that MS Dhoni is capable of batting and keeping wickets without issues. The only concern delaying his return is his running ability, especially during high-pressure moments late in an innings where quick singles and doubles are crucial. Well, the good news is that Dhoni has been steadily improving his running speed, which was previously a sticking point.
