The complaint was filed by Vigyan Prakash Mane, who is also known to be a childhood friend of cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Vigyan Prakash Mane alleged that the incident took place on November 22 at a toll plaza on the Sangli-Ashta road. During an argument, he claims that Palash used caste-based derogatory remarks.

Police have registered the case under Section 3(1) of the SC/ST Act, along with Sections 351(2) and 352. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is currently underway and more details are yet to be officially shared.

Reports suggest that the matter is linked to a financial dispute. Vigyan Prakash Mane claimed that he had given Rs 25 lakh to Palash Muchhal for a film production project. He was reportedly promised that the film would be completed within six months. However, when the project did not progress as expected, Vigyan Prakash Mane began asking for his money back.

According to his statement, Palash Muchhal avoided returning the amount, which led to repeated confrontations. During one such confrontation, the situation escalated into an argument and Vigyan Prakash Mane alleged that offensive language was used. He also expressed disappointment over how the situation unfolded, saying he felt misled and disrespected.

However, the wedding was later called off and both announced their separation publicly, without revealing the reasons.

As of now, police officials have confirmed that the case is being investigated and further developments are awaited. The situation continues to be closely watched as legal proceedings move forward.
