Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid Khan Opens Up On Nepotism & Getting Work Despite Giving Two Flops

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan has candidly spoken about nepotism in Bollywood after facing two consecutive box office failures with Loveyapa and Ek Din. Despite the poor theatrical response to both the films, the actor revealed that he continues to receive offers because of his family background and industry recognition.

In an interview, Junaid Khan admitted that star kids often get more opportunities because audiences already know them, which makes it easier for producers to market them. According to him, producers are more focused on selling films than selecting actors purely based on suitability for a role.

Junaid Khan explained that filmmakers usually choose actors they can promote easily rather than those who may be the perfect fit for the character. He clarified that he does not view the issue as a simple insider-versus-outsider debate. Instead, he believes casting should be based on what works the best for the story and the character rather than only commercial value.

The actor openly acknowledged the privilege that comes with being Aamir Khan’s son. Speaking honestly about the nepotism debate, Junaid said that the term does not bother him because he knows it is true in his case. He even joked that despite delivering two flops, he is still getting work and wants to continue acting.

Junaid Khan also reflected on the disappointing performance of Ek Din, which starred Sai Pallavi and was produced under Aamir Khan’s production banner. He shared that the team had high hopes for the film and personally loved working on it. While some viewers appreciated the movie, he accepted that most audiences did not connect with it, adding that such situations are a part of the film industry.

Talking about his father’s reaction, Junaid Khan revealed that Aamir still gets emotionally affected when films fail, even after spending decades in the industry. However, he added that his father quickly moves forward by immersing himself in work again.

On the professional front, Junaid Khan will next be seen in Ragini MMS 3 alongside Tamannaah Bhatia. The makers are yet to reveal more details about the upcoming film.
