Another WTC Final Confirmed For India Indians Confidently React As 2023-25 Schedule Is Out

The WTC cycle 2021-23 has ended with Australia winning the championship as they defeated India in the finals which was played from 7 June to 11 June 2023 at the Oval, London. The Indian team lost the match by a huge margin of 209 runs and this was certainly very disappointing for the Indian fans who were pretty excited after India managed to ensure their place in their second consecutive final of the WTC.

However, now the cycle for the World Test Championship 2023-25 has been released by the ICC and cricket lovers are all set to witness some exciting cricket over the 2 years. The WTC 2023-25 will start with one of the most popular test series Ashes which will be played between England and Australia from 16 June 2023.  Both the teams will play five-match test series and it will certainly set the tone for the WTC 2023-25 in a perfect manner.

The format for the WTC 2023-25 is the same as it was for the previous championships, each team will play a total of 6 series (3 at home and 3 away) consisting of 2-5 test matches and for every match won by a team, it will get 12 points, 6 points for a tie and 4 points for a draw. The maximum test matches will be played by England (22) followed by Australia (21) and India (20).

As far as India is concerned, it will host New Zealand, England and Bangladesh and it will travel to Australia, West Indies and South Africa for playing test series.

As soon as the fixtures for India were announced, the Indian Twitterati reacted soon and many felt that once again India will be playing the finals.
