As Devdas found alcohol to be his only companion after Paro and Chandramukhi, the role needed to be played to show an alcoholic man who was not in control of his nerves. Shah Rukh Khan performed well by showing a disoriented sluggish man who had surrendered to alcohol.

6. Aman Mathur in Kal Ho Naa Ho

While the plot itself was both beautiful and heart-wrenching, Aman Mathur’s character stays with the audience for a long time. In the first half, Aman is a happy-go-lucky goofy person with a charm that lightens up everyone around him, the second half reveals his illness and looming death. SrK moved spectators through his expressions, a man who is helpless in the face of death and cannot reciprocate Naina’s love, and instead has to make a plan to help her fall in love with her best friend to make Naina forget him.
