He also admitted that execution was lacking in key phases of the match. Speaking about the batting, he pointed out that losing multiple wickets early in the powerplay made it very difficult to recover in a T20 game.

Despite the defeat, Salman Ali Agha continued to back his spinners, saying they were capable of bouncing back after failing to make the most of helpful conditions. He also defended the batting unit, even though Pakistan were bowled out for just 114 after India had posted 175/7 on a dry surface.
