“Divorce Is Inevitable”, Reports Suggest Yuzvendra Chahal & Dhanashree Will Part Ways Soon

Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian cricketer may have been out of the national team but he is a popular cricketer and fans always love to know what’s going on in his life and career. However, currently he is making news for all the wrong reasons.

There are some reports which suggest that the star Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is on the verge of divorcing his wife Dhanashree Verma. Sources close to the couple have confirmed the rumours, stating that while the divorce has not yet been finalised, their separation is inevitable. It is only a matter of time before the terms are settled. The couple has decided to move on separately but the reason for their divorce is not yet known.

Speculation about their separation gained momentum after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed photos of themselves together from the platform. Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree were married in December 2020.

On the professional front, Chahal has fallen out of favor with the national selectors and is currently not in contention across formats. His last ODI appearance was in January 2023 and his most recent T20I outing came in August of the same year. However, he remains active in domestic cricket, particularly excelling in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals released Chahal, but he was snapped up by Punjab Kings for an impressive INR 18 crore. In his new role, he will play alongside Shreyas Iyer. Chahal, the highest wicket-taker in the IPL history with 205 wickets in 160 matches at an average of 22.44 and an economy rate of 7.84, will aim to continue his stellar performances for Punjab Kings in the upcoming season.
