While Aashirwad Sooryavanshi is only beginning his cricket journey, his elder brother’s rise has been nothing short of extraordinary. At just 15 years of age, Vaibhav recently earned his first call-up to the Indian team following a sensational IPL 2026 season. During the tournament, he scored nearly 800 runs and became the youngest player ever to win the Orange Cap.

The young opener also added another milestone to his growing list of achievements by registering the second IPL century of his career. In doing so, he became the owner of the two fastest centuries scored by an Indian player in the history of the league.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently part of the India A squad competing in a Tri-Nation Series in Sri Lanka, which also features Afghanistan A and the host nation. Following the tournament, he is expected to travel to Ireland, where India will play a two-match T20I series.

Having already become the youngest male cricketer to receive an India call-up, the left-handed batter is now chasing another historic achievement. He has the opportunity to surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record and become the youngest male player to represent India in international cricket.
