1. Naam (2024)

This Ajay Devgn-starrer was delayed for a decade. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film which started in 2014 faced multiple production halts, eventually premiering in 2024. The anticipation it built, however, didn’t translate into critical acclaim or box-office success.

2. Milenge Milenge (2010)

Initially shot in 2004, this Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor romance faced years of production delays. Released six years later, Milenge Milenge outdated premise affected its reception, despite the buzz created by the break-up of the leading stars in real life.

3. Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002)

Featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, this movie spent six years in limbo due to financial and production issues. Though it finally released in 2002, the delay overshadowed its potential success.

4. Sanam Teri Kasam (2009)

This Saif Ali Khan and Pooja Bhatt starrer took staggering 15 years to release due to legal and production complications. Its outdated storytelling failed to resonate with the audience, leading to a box-office disaster.

5. Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke (2004)

This Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon project began in the mid-1990s but released a decade later under a new title. The poorly updated production failed to meet the expectations of audiences.

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala, this film saw a nine-year delay. By the time of its release, its themes and execution felt outdated, leading to poor box office performance.

7. Jagga Jasoos (2017)

This Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif musical adventure began production in 2014 but faced delays due to creative differences and the lead actors’ breakup. Despite its ambitious vision, the film received mixed reviews upon release. The makers had planned sequels to the movie but after poor performance of the first part at the box-office, the makers shelved their ambitious plans.

8. Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar (2006)

Initially titled Dil Chura Ke Chal Diye, this Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty film was delayed by four years. When finally released, its dated execution made it forgettable.
