“Pehle Ande Se Bahar To Niklo,” Indians React As Pak Pacer Challenges To Break Umran Malik’s Record
The young Indian cricketer Umran Malik who is currently India’s fastest bowler got noticed during the IPL because of raw pace as he was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and now he has become an important part of the Indian squad in the limited overs cricket. Umran Malik has bowled at the speed of 157km/h which is the fastest delivery by an Indian in international cricket and there are already many who want to break his record including the young Pakistani pacer Ihsanullah.
Pakistan has given many pacers who bowl at the speed of around 150+ km/h and currently Ihsanullah is making headlines for his superb performances in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. He is a part of Multan Sultans and recently in a match against Quetta Gladiators, the 20 years old young pacer took 5 wickets and gave away 12 runs in his 4 overs. Currently, Ihsanullah is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament and after his marvelous bowling performances in the PSL, the Pakistani selectors have selected him in the Pakistani squad which will be playing test matches against New Zealand.
After Ihsanullah got selected for the New Zealand series, the former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq stated that he is confident Ihsanullah can touch the 160 km/h mark easily. Talking about Abdul Razzaq’s statement, the young pacer has spoken in an interview that he will certainly try to do that, he will also try to break the record of 157km/h made by Umran Malik.
Earlier in an interview after a PSL match, Ihsanullah stated that he wants to make his international debut against India and help his team in winning the match by taking a fifer as it will make him very happy.
Indian Twitterati reacted after listening to the statement made by the Pakistani young pacer. Here are some selected responses:

See that's the difference between, Umran never said he is aiming for Shoaib Bhai, he said inshallah he'll do his best. And that's the spirit he is competing with no one other than himself.

If their goal is just to be the fastest, wont do any good. Having speed is good, but look beyond the speed. There's fitness, skills, variations, nerves. Its a very small dream to play or improve just to break someone's record

So crack it, who cares ? You don't win ODIs and Tests just by pace , you need line and length. Every format is not T20
