Aussies Make An Issue Of Ravindra Jadeja Applying Something On Finger, BCCI Reacts
The rivalry between the cricket teams of India and Australia is quite famous among cricket fans as both the teams are among the best teams of the world and they play very competitive cricket against each other. Though T20I cricket is becoming quite famous nowadays, there is no denying the fact that the purest form of cricket is test cricket and cricket lovers all around the world wait eagerly for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy so that they can see two best teams clashing against each other. Over the years, we have seen some great cricket being played in the BGT but there have been some controversies as well and Australian media has already started making attempts to create controversies from the very first day of the first test match which is being played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
Earlier, a renowned Australian sports media alleged that the DRS was doctored when Aussie opener Usman Khawaja was dismissed lbw (leg before wicket) by Mohammed Siraj and then a controversy was created when Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja was seen taking something from Mohammed Siraj and rubbing it on his index finger.
Fox Cricket shared the photos of the incident with the caption, “‘Interesting.’ A debate has erupted after vision of a questionable moment was spotted during the first innings of the first Test between Australia and India. #INDvAUS”

Soon the former English cricketer Michael Vaughan who is known for being critical towards India reacted on this matter with, “What is it he is putting on his spinning finger ? Never ever seen this … #INDvsAUS”

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put all the discussion and debate to rest by making it clear that it is an ointment for pain relief for the sore finger. This information was given to press by a BCCI official and we hope that now the Australian media will focus on cricket rather than on potential controversial moments.
As far as the match is concerned, India is in a strong position by the end of day 2 as it has taken the lead of 144 runs. In response to Australia’s 177 in the first innings, India has scored 321/7 in its first innings with Ravindra Jadeja (66 runs) and Axar Patel (52 runs) at the crease. The most successful Australian bowler is the debutante Todd Murphy who has taken 5 wickets in India’s first innings.
