Babar Azam Finally Breaks Silence On His Viral ‘This Too Shall Pass’ Tweet For Virat Kohli
The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and the Pakistani cricket team skipper Babar Azam are among the best cricketers of the present times and many Pakistani cricket fans keep on comparing Babar with Virat despite the fact that the former has made his international debut 8 years after the latter.
While Virat Kohli went through a lean patch for the last three years before getting back in form in the Asia Cup 2022, Babar Azam is currently the number one ODI batter and he is ranked third in both – T20Is and in the purest form of the game as well.
Though they both are rivals on the field, they do respect each other and share good camaraderie off-the-field. In fact in 2022 when Virat completed 1000 days without a century, Babar posted a message for Kohli which read, “This too shall pass. Stay strong #Virat Kohli”; he also posted a photo of him with Virat in the tweet:
Here is the tweet:

This post and message may have become meme material when Babar Azam was going through a lean patch as people were tweeting the same to troll him but it showed the respect that Babar has for Virat Kohli.
Recently, the Pakistani skipper has opened about this message in an interview and said that any sportsperson can face such difficult times in his career. On being asked about the reason behind sending that message, Babar Azam said that at that time, he felt that his tweet might provide help and confidence. Furthermore, he feels that a sportsperson should try to support every sportsperson in tough times. He adds that it is in the tough times that a person comes to know what others think about him and at that time he did that because he felt that it may result in positive outcome.
After scoring a hundred in a T20I against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022, Virat Kohli has smashed three centuries in ODIs till now and his fans are hoping to see him score runs in test matches against Australia as well in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023.
