Yash Dayal Talked About Bad Phase During IPL 2023, Says He Fell Ill After Seeing People’s Comments
There is no denying the fact that limited overs cricket especially T20 cricket has become very batter friendly, while the pitches mostly don’t have anything to offer to bowlers, the boundaries are also getting shortened in order to help batters play big shots and what makes it more difficult for bowlers is the fact that nowadays many cricketers prefer to become T20 specialists rather than thinking of playing other formats as well.
Many times we have seen batters smashing bowlers for sixes in a comfortable manner and it is certainly quite problematic for bowlers if any batter hits them for couple or more sixes in just one over.
The Indian cricketer Yash Dayal became the talk of the town after Rinku Singh smashed him for 5 consecutive sixes in one over in the IPL 2023 and made his team Kolkata Knight Riders win the match as they needed 29 runs to win in one over. Yash Dayal used to play for Gujarat Titans at that time and this incident affected him so much that he fell ill and missed many matches after that.
However, the good thing is that now the bowler has put all the bad memories behind and he is playing some fantastic cricket for his new franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore that has bought him for Rs. 5 crore. In the match against Punjab Kings, Yash Dayal finished his 4 overs with the figure of 1/23 but the main thing was that he bowled his 3 out of 4 overs in powerplay and gave only 10 runs.
After the match, Yash Dayal had a chat with his teammate Mohammed Siraj and he opened up about the bad phase. He said that honestly he faced problems after that match, he added that though his well-wishers asked him to stay away from social media but he ended up surfing social media platforms.
Yash Dayal further said that he had a word with his family. He said that he was hurt after seeing what people think about him and his background, he fell ill for 2-3 days but then he recovered and again focused on matches.
Yash Dayal concluded by saying that he is neither the first nor the last one who has gone through this type of situation, he stayed focused on the process and played as many matches as possible in order to get accustomed with the environment and to deal with it.
That is certainly a good and positive approach.
