R Ashwin Gives Big Clue From Which Date & Which Series Ravindra Jadeja Will Make A Comeback
The Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja may have been off-the-field for more than 4 months now because of his knee injury but still he was in news for quite good time, thanks to his wife Rivaba Jadeja’s entry in politics as recently she fought the state elections and got elected as the Member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from Jamnagar North on BJP’s ticket.
Ravindra Jadeja is currently at National Cricket Academy and sometimes he posts his videos of training sessions on his social media handles in order to tell his fans and followers that he will be fine soon but no tentative date of his comeback has been announced till now. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also maintained silence on the matter as to when Jaddu will be back but it seems that Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has hinted about Jadeja’s timing of return in an interview.
During the interaction, while talking about the 4-match India-Australia test series which will be played at home from February 9, Ashwin says that he works hard whenever a home series takes place. He further says that he is watching Australia playing in Australia and he is thinking about some new angles as well for the series. This is when Ashwin also says that he is expecting Ravindra Jadeja to get fit by that time.
R Ashwin played an important role last time too when India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia especially in the Sydney test match when he and Hanuma Vihari batted patiently throughout the day and saved the team from defeat.
The Border-Gavaskar trophy will be very important for both the teams as it will be instrumental in deciding the finalists of the World Test Championship 2021-23 and Australia will be hungrier for winning this series for one more reason – it will like to break its 19 years old jinx as the Aussies haven’t won a test series in India since 2004.
Talking about his preparation for the series, Ashwin says that he has already started training and he is doing yoga too as it has helped him feel better since last year from the time when he began doing yoga. He adds that he is also working on his batting and though he was supposed to play in Ranji Trophy yet after playing matches against Bangladesh, he had to look after his niggles and now he has been undergoing a four-week program in order to strengthen his body.
Are you also excited about the Border-Gavaskar Trophy just like us?
