Kartik Aaryan Reportedly Called Rohit Shetty To Delay Singham Again To Avert Mega Clash
The Bollywood box office could see a major clash this Diwali with two blockbuster films – “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” and “Singham Again” slated for release. Both the movies have the potential to dominate the box office but a direct clash could impact overall collections.
While the team of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” has reconfirmed their Diwali release, director Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn have not made any official statements regarding the release date of “Singham Again”. However, fresh reports indicate that Kartik Aaryan is attempting to prevent this clash.
According to reports, Kartik Aaryan has reached out to Rohit Shetty, requesting the director to reconsider the release date of Singham Again. A source shared that Kartik made a personal call to Rohit to discuss the potential box office clash.
A source stated that Kartik Aaryan has called the director of “Singham Again”, Rohit Shetty and requested him to consider postponing his movie. While Kartik Aaryan wants “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” to release on 1 Nov, he has asked Rohit Shetty to release his movie in theatres on 15 Nov as the actor feels that two week gap would be beneficial for both the films and the clash will certainly hamper the collections of both the movies. Rohit Shetty has told Kartik that he would get back to him.
In response, an entertainment portal reported that Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn might consider postponing “Singham Again” by two weeks. However, the decision is still under discussion and yet to be confirmed.
As the horror comedies are currently getting appreciated by the audiences and it has been confirmed by the success of “Munjya” and “Stree 2”, the makers of “Singham Again” are not taking “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” lightly and they are also thinking of solo release on 15 Nov rather than clashing on 1 Nov.
The source further added that “Singham Again” is a big-budget movie because of which the makers are looking at all the pros and cons before arriving on the final decision. The source stated that the makers are analyzing all the aspects of releasing the movie on 1st Nov or on 15th Nov as well and the final decision may be taken within 24 hours. There is no denying the fact that “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” will be a big competition considering the success of “Stree 2” which starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri is certainly a bigger franchise than “Stree”.
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” which is being directed by Anees Bazmee features Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, paired with Triptii Dimri. The film also marks Vidya Balan’s return to the franchise, with Madhuri Dixit playing a significant role.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, “Singham Again” is led by Ajay Devgn and boasts a massive star cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
If “Singham Again” is postponed, both the films could maximize their box office potential without dividing the audiences. Fans of both the franchises are eagerly awaiting the final decision.
