The winter season is in full swing in the northern India and there is a lot of fog in some parts; especially in the night and morning, it is very foggy because of which trains and flights are getting delayed a lot.

The condition of flights is so bad that some flights have got delayed for even 13-14 hours and the journey is no less than a nightmare for passengers. There is no denying the fact that workload on the airline companies and their staff is huge but there are reports as per which the airline staff has also been rude with the passengers and the passengers are not getting the services and facilities which they should get in case of flights getting delayed.

Recently a video went viral in which passengers were seen sitting and having food at the tarmac (runway, or from where airplane get pulled up to the gate or head out towards the runway). Soon after the incident, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had a meeting with the officials of his ministry and notices have been issued to the IndiGo airlines and the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL).

These passengers sat there after their diverted Goa-Delhi flight landed at Mumbai airport after a long delay on 14 January. The ministry has written in the notice that both IndiGo airlines and MIAL have been found guilty of not anticipating the situation and of not making proper arrangements for the passengers.

The ministry further stated that these passengers were seated on tarmac despite the fact that a remote bay C-33 was allotted for these passengers. This act of airlines and MIAL increased the problems of tired passengers as they were deprived of the facilities of restroom and refreshments which are basic facilities.

Not just the passengers were heckled but the security norms have also been violated and if airlines and MIAL didn’t respond in the given time, then the proceedings for financial penalty will be started.

The IndiGo airlines also issued a statement in which it stated that it has started an internal enquiry into the matter and it will reply to the notice in given time.

Disgusting and pathetic service by the airlines, if you also had some bad experience while flying, do share with us.
