R Ashwin Concerned Due To No Power For Over 30 Hours As Cyclone Michaung Hits Chennai
The cyclone Michaung has done a lot of damage in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha as around 13 people have lost their lives in different rain-related incidents. The rains may have stopped or slowed yesterday in Tamil Nadu but many cities, especially Chennai, are still submerged in water and people are also facing the problem of power outage and poor mobile service in their areas.
The senior Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin who is also bearing the brunt of this natural calamity took to Twitter and talked about the situation of power supply in his locality. Ashwin stated that there is no power in his area for more than last 30 hours.
He wrote, “No power in my locality for more than 30 hours too. Guess that’s the case in many places. Not sure what options we have”

Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin also asked the people of his city Chennai to be ready for a long fight even after the rain stops.
He stated this while sharing a video of destruction which happened due to heavy rains caused by the cyclonic storm. He tweeted, “Hang tight for another day everyone, Even if the rain stops, recovery is going to take a while.”

There is no denying the fact that the scenes from Chennai and some other cities are very scary, in fact a crocodile was seen roaming on the streets of Chennai.
The Australian cricketer David Warner who has a huge fan base in India also expressed his concerns, he made a post on Instagram in which he wrote, “I’m deeply concerned about the ongoing floods affecting many areas in Chennai. My thoughts are with all those who are impacted by this natural disaster. It’s important for everyone to stay safe, seek higher ground if necessary. If you’re in a position to help, please consider supporting relief efforts or offering assistance to those in need. Let’s come together to support where we can. #help #care #support #india”
The relief and rescue teams are working continuously to save people and many people have been shifted to relief camps but it will certainly take some time for things to get back to normal.
Let’s pray for the safety of all those whose lives have been affected because of the cyclone Michaung.
