Michael Vaughan Reacts On Shubman Gill’s Century, Gets An Epic Reply From Tom Moody
Hardik Pandya led Gujarat Titans is playing its second season of the Indian Premier League after winning the IPL title in its debut season and it is dominating the tournament in this season as well. GT is at the top position in the points table after winning 9 matches out of the 13 matches that it played and its entry in the play-offs is a certainty.
One of the biggest reasons behind GT’s success is the good start that it is given by its openers- the experienced cricketer Wriddhiman Saha and the young player Shubman Gill.
Shubman Gill is in a great form in this season as well and in the last match of GT which was played against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the young cricketer smashed a century (101) and helped his team in winning the game. Gill has become the first cricketer of his team to touch the 1000 runs mark in the IPL and if we talk about the IPL 2023, prior to this century he had scored 4 half-centuries and till now he has scored 576 runs in the tournament. Currently Shubman Gill is at the second position in the list of maximum run-getters, the first being the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis who has scored 631 runs till now in the IPL 2023.
After Shubman Gill scored a century against SRH, not just cricket fans but many former cricketers also took to Twitter to praise the youngster and one such former cricketer was from England. We are talking about Michael Vaughan who tweeted, “Superstar in the making .. @ShubmanGill #IPL2023”
Superstar in the making .. @ShubmanGill #IPL2023

While many fans of Shubman Gill completely agreed with Michael Vaughan, the former Australian cricketer Tom Moody had some doubts and he asked Vaughan, “In the making, or made? #Gill”

The former English cricketer responded soon by saying, “Made”:

While it may be a matter of discussion among cricket lovers whether Shubman Gill is a superstar in the making or he is already a superstar but one thing which holds true is that Shubman Gill needs to keep playing well if he wants GT to win its second title consecutively.
As far as the match between GT and SRH is concerned, it was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, and SRH chose to bowl first after winning the toss. GT batters other than Shubman Gill (101 runs, 58 balls, 13 fours & 1 six) and Sai Sudarshan (47 runs, 36 balls, 6 fours & 1 six) were not able to show resistance to the SRH bowlers as 8 batters failed to touch the double digit mark (including 3 batters who got out for golden duck). GT posted a total of 188/9 in its stipulated 20 overs and this was certainly a good competitive total.
SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled superbly as he ended the match with wonderful figures of 30/5 but SRH batting line up failed in chasing the target as it fell short by 34 runs and SRH could manage only 154/9 in its 20 overs.
Shubman Gill was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his blistering knock while on the other hand, SRH will certainly like to forget this season as it is at the bottom of the point table with only 4 wins in 12 matches that it has played till now.
