Shoaib Akhtar Trolled For Talking About England Reinventing Game But Ignoring Pak’s Flat Pitch

The England cricket team has certainly reinvented the test cricket under the leadership of Ben Stokes and guidance of head coach Brendon McCullum and currently this test team has registered a world record of scoring the highest ever score on the opening day of the test match.

After a long gap of 17 years, the English test team has returned to Pakistan for playing a three-match test series which started yesterday with the first match being played at Rawalpindi. The English squad ended the first day with 506/4 on the scoreboard with 4 batters scoring centuries – Zak Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107), Ollie Pope (108) and Harry Brook (153). The English batters mocked the Pakistani bowling as they scored runs freely but pitch also played an important role in the England batters playing superbly as the pitch is very flat. In fact the former English cricketer Nasser Hussain has termed the pitch as absolute road which is not providing any help to the bowlers.

Earlier when Australia visited Pakistan for the test series, similar type of pitch was declared below average by the match referee on which 1187 runs were scored in 4 days and only 14 wickets were taken.

The former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar took to Twitter and posted a video in which he said that there were some reports according to which some English cricketers are not feeling well but if they are playing like this when they are not well, what they would have done if they had been fine. He talked about England batting and the aggressive approach inculcated by Brendon McCullum and also said that the Pakistani bowlers are 20-20 bowlers and they will need to work hard for becoming test bowlers.

However, what some fans had not liked was that former Pak cricketer did not talked about the flat pitch:

But soon Shoaib Akhtar reacted on a tweet which talked about PCB reinventing the Indus valley civilization roads. He wrote, “Indus Valley Civilization roads probably juicier & had more life in them.”

Indian cricketer Amit Mishra also reacted on this matter as he tweeted:

As far as the match is concerned, England has scored 657 in its first innings and in response, Pakistan is playing at 103/0 with Abdullah Shafique (51) and Imam-ul-Haq (54) on the pitch.

Is this match going towards a draw? What do you think? Let us know your opinion.
