“Time To Get Rid Of Chairman Jo PCB Ka Khuda Bana Hua Hai,” Mohd Amir Hits Out At Ramiz Raja

The Zimbabwean team played some really great cricket yesterday to defeat Pakistan in the nail-biting encounter which Zimbabwe won by 1 run. It was really unexpected as Pakistan was considered to be one of the candidates to win the tournament and now its chances of reaching semi-finals will not just depend on its own performance but on the performance of other teams of its group as well.

Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first but Pakistani bowlers did a great job by restricting the Zimbabweans to 130/8 which seemed to be pretty easy for Pakistan to achieve but things didn’t go as per plan for Babar Azam-led team and it kept on losing wickets on a regular basis. While Shan Masood made an attempt to control the situation before getting out on 44, Mohammad Nawaz who scored 22 also tried his best towards the end but things turned uglier when he got out in the last over. Zimbabwean bowling and fielding were quite good and 36 years old Pakistan-born Zimbabwean cricketer Sikandar Raza who was adjudged as the Player of the Match made things hell for the Pakistani cricket team as he took 3 wickets, carried out run-out of Shaheen Afridi and also scored 9 runs while batting.

As Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat against Zimbabwe, social media networks were flooded with reactions and not just Pakistani cricket fans but many former Pakistani cricketers also slammed the team, team management and the Pakistan Cricket Board for this debacle.

Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir who is out of the squad at the moment but has played for the country in all the three formats is quite critical of the PCB chief Ramiz Raja and in his tweet, he has demanded ouster of Ramiz Raja.

Mohammad Amir tweeted, “From day one I said poor selection ub is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it’s time to get rid of so called chairman jo PCB ka khuda bana hwa hai and so called chief selector.” (From day one I was saying that it is poor selection but who will take the responsibility now. I think it is time to get rid of the so-called chairman of PCB who thinks he is the God and also of the so-called chief selector).
