“Stay Strong, This Too Shall Pass,” Indians Take A Dig At Babar Azam For Old Tweet To Virat Kohli
The Zimbabwean cricket team and cricket fans are on cloud nine after winning the match against Pakistan in the nail-biting encounter which was played today at Optus Stadium, Perth. Former Pakistani cricketers and Pakistani fans are in a state of shock as nobody expected one of the favourites to win the T20 World Cup to lose against Zimbabwe. The Pakistani squad led by Babar Azam is getting slammed heavily on the social media sites and there is no denying the fact that things will get more difficult for them from here in the tournament.
Babar Azam will be disappointed with not only his team’s performance but his performance as well because in both the matches that Pakistan has played, the Pak skipper has performed poorly which is a big reason for Pakistna’s defeat. While Babar Azam is getting roasted by netizens, an old tweet made by him has come back to haunt him after today’s match.
If you remember, the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who played an important role in India’s win in both the matches of the tournament (against Pakistan and Netherlands) was going through a rough phase prior to the Asia Cup 2022. Many former Indian cricketers demanded his ouster from the team so that youngsters can get a chance to play for the country but Virat Kohli had complete support of his skipper, head coach and team management and later on, many cricketers and former cricketers from all over the world came out in his support.
Pakistani skipper Babar Azam also made a tweet in support of Virat Kohli, he posted an image in which he was seen with the former Indian skipper and he captioned it with, “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli”

Babar Azam was praised a lot by the Pakistani cricket fraternity for making this tweet as they said that this is what cricketers should do, support each other and this will also improve cricketing relations between both the nations. Virat Kohli responded a little late on this tweet but till then, few Pakistani cricketers including Shahid Afridi even raise questions as to why Virat Kohli did not react on Babar’s tweet. Finally Virat Kohli responded with, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best”.

Babar Azam was out for a golden duck against India and in today’s match, he was dismissed on the score of 9. The Pakistani team was not able to achieve the target of 131 which seemed to be pretty easy for it against the Zimbabwean bowling.
Pakistan will now face Netherlands in its next match on 30th Oct at Optus Stadium, Perth and its arch-rival India will face South Africa in its next match on the same date and the same venue as well.
