The Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar who got ruled out of the IPL 2022 because of his injury was in news lately because of his marriage with Jaya Bharadwaj which took place on June 1 in Agra. If you remember, Deepak proposed his girlfriend Jaya in the stadium after the last league match of his team Chennai Super Kings against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2021.

A grand reception was given at Delhi’s Kamal Mahal in ITC Maurya Hotel which was attended by many people from the cricket fraternity. Now photos from the reception are going viral and one cricketer is grabbing netizens’ attention the most but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

In one photograph, Deepak Chahar is seen posing with many cricketers including Rishabh Pant, the skipper of IPL team Delhi Capitals. Soon the pic went viral, people started talking about the mid-portion of Rishabh Pant and questions were raised on his fitness level.

As you can see, Rishabh Pant is standing in the right corner and soon Twitterati started slamming him for not remaining fit. Here are some reactions:

Rishabh Pant was not able to make much impact in the IPL2022 neither with his captaincy nor with his bat and DC ended the tournament at the fifth position with 7 wins and 7 loses in 14 matches played by it. In fact, Rishabh Pant was also slammed for his poor behaviour and attitude during a league match against Rajasthan Royals in which he asked his batters to leave the field after he was not happy with the umpire’s decision and many former cricketers raised questions on his capability to lead the team.

Though he was quick behind the wickets in the tournament, fitness is of great importance for a sportsperson and no player can afford have a bulged mid-portion especially when there are so many other players working hard to replace him in the team.

Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team which will be playing 5-match T20I series against South Africa starting June 9 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. The senior cricketers such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, etc. have been rested for this series and KL Rahul will be leading the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma.

Hopefully Rishabh Pant will work on his fitness and get back in shape soon.
