Twitter User Shares How Suhas From “3 Idiots” Was Actually A Good Man & A Hero
Aamir Khan, the Bollywood actor, has given many hits in his career and “3 Idiots” is also one of them. This multi-starrer movie which released in 2009 had an ensemble cast of R. Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, etc. and it was directed by the famous director Rajkumar Hirani. The flick gave the message that a person should work hard for excellence and then success and money will automatically follow him.
There was one character in “3 Idiots” which was shown as completely materialistic but Kareena’s character Pia was supposed to marry him as her father liked that guy. Yes, we are talking about Suhas, the character played by Olivier Lafont! This character has been hated by almost everyone since the movie has released but recently a Twitter user Aaraynsh gave a new perspective of this character in a couple of tweets.
Aaraynsh wrote that he laughed at Suhas when he was a kid but as he grew up, he found out that he was a good man who worked hard for his money so it was obvious that he got angry and annoyed when his $400 shoes got dirty or he lost a Rs. 4 lakh watch. The Twitter user further stated that as he grew up in middle class, he is well acquainted with the struggle of chasing IITs & IIMs for fulfilling their dreams.
Here is what Aaraynsh wrote in first tweet, “Suhas, I used to laugh at you as a kid, but as I grew up, I realized you were a good man. Losing a 4-lakh rupee watch, for which you had worked tirelessly, would drive anyone crazy. I now understand now how it feels when a pair of 400 dollar shoes get dirty. Everyone dreams of earning more money, and you were not wrong in making your career choice. ‘Tumne sab kamaya tha shyad islye tumhe keemat yaad thi’ :)”

The second tweet read, “As someone who grew up in the middle class, I understand the struggle to chase IITs and IIMs in pursuit of our dreams. Even spilling chutney on a sherwani worth 1.5 lakhs on your wedding day and having your fiance walk away from the mandap was not funny. You were a hero :)”

We all have a Suhas in us bas we don't show it out
— Kalyan Kumar Biswal (@KalyanKBiswal) April 17, 2023
Perfectly said! And I believe it's not materialism, it's a very common trait that anyone would have!
As for career choice, nowadays many people do what suhas did! And actually i always felt that suhas was a metaphor for Chetan Bhagat! IIT, IIM, and then banking!— OjasHvi (@The_Ojashvi) April 16, 2023
Even spilling chatni on dedh lakh ki sherwani on your wedding day is not done.

*Yea it hurts!— thePJ (@pjexplained) April 17, 2023
That’s a very nice observation.

Yeah 4 lakh rupee watch in 2012 & 400usd shoes is very heroic thing Indeed.
& writing that in continuation to "someone who grew up in middle class"
High income guys who r from Middle class don't spend half their annual income on watches & stuff.

The actor Olivier Lafont also reacted as he wrote that he got messaged by people about the character Suhas which he played few years back. Olivier also talks about the tweet made by Aaraynsh and says that he is happy that Suhas is getting love of people.
“So, finally, this tweet reached the real Suhas of movie 3 Idiots, aka Olivier Lafont.”
"I wish he would have said “dedh lakh ki baat kahi” :p.
