Samantha Trolled For Her Fake Accent In Citadel Premiere, Varun’s Reaction Is Unmissable
The Indian movie celebs are quite good when it comes to speaking English but one thing that seems to be common in all the celebs is that whenever they go to West for work purpose, they suddenly develop a fake accent.
If you remember, couple of months back, the team of SS Rajamouli directed movie “RRR” went to Hollywood as the flick got nominations in the Golden Globes and Oscars. At that time, Jr. NTR talked to the western media in an American accent. Earlier when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan attended the Red Sea Festival, the “Dil Chahta Hai” actor put on British accent.
Recently, Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu went to London for attending the premiere of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden starrer “Citadel”, the science-fiction action TV series created by Russo Brothers, and while speaking to the media, Samantha put on a fake accent which left Varun Dhawan a little surprised.

Another international event
Another foreign accent by our stars
Not sure if speaking in #Indian accent is a shame or will bring a bad name for us
Being original irrespective of reaching heights will only be good for us#Samantha #CitadelOnPrime https://t.co/16TFvH8j51

Not fake accent she just tried to avoid the thick accent and softened it a bit.

Wherever we go, we have to adapt their culture and respect their language… South Indians know that better. Proud to be South Indian.

Accent can be used to please, convince, make them understand, nothing wrong when we wear western clothes why not accent
— Paul (@Renopaul7) April 26, 2023
Doesn't makes any difference
If people come to Our native places we tell them to Speak in native language like
When North indians comes to South
We tell them to talk in Kannada, telugu, tamil!!!
Same applies here too
She's talking in their accent nothing wrong in that— Anonymous soul (@Mayankkkk61) April 26, 2023
We too bring out that accent when we meet foreigners to make them understand, why not we too accept the way she spoke at London. It is not that bad though. Way of expression.

Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be playing lead roles in the Indian installment of Citadel and we are quite sure that it would be exciting to see them together in a series.
