This Actress Blames Dabanng For Ruining Her Career And She Has A Valid Point

Salman Khan is a big name in Bollywood and he enjoys a huge fan following. Back in 2010, when Salman was going through his career’s bad phase Dabangg released and brought him back to track. After Dabangg, he gave back to 100, 200 and 300 crore grossers and continues to do so.

Not just Salman, the film Dabangg also gave a strong debut to Sonakshi Sinha who became extremely popular among the masses. But there’s one actress who regrets working in Dabangg because she thinks it negatively impacted her career.

We are talking about Mahie Gill who had a small role opposite Arbaaz Khan in Dabangg. Before this film, she had done some critically acclaimed and strong roles but Dabangg typecasted her as small role heroine and she started getting similar roles.

During a recent interview for her upcoming film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, Mahie Gill told PTI-

“After Dev D, I had won a lot of appreciation and awards. People wanted to sign me for films. But I did Dabangg and it backfired big time. The producers started to offer me small roles. I felt very bad but I did not know what was happening. I believe in destiny a lot, I think this was meant to happen. I did regret doing the role but now I do not.”

She further added-

“In my case, it backfired. My career stopped at that very point. Thanks to Tigmanshu Dhulia for offering me Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series. I am proud of this series. When we started with the first part, we did not think it will become a hit. The best about this franchise is that it is growing, the characters are the same but the story is in continuity. That is the beauty of this franchise.”

Well, we hope Mahie Gill gets best in her future.
