Sooraj Pancholi Breaks Silence After Jiah Khan Case, Slams Media For Spreading Lies

Years after being declared innocent in the Jiah Khan case, actor Sooraj Pancholi has finally broken his silence. The actor had to go through a very difficult time during the trial of Jiah Khan’s su*cide case. Later, the special CBI court found him not guilty and acquitted him. But even years after the case was closed, people on social media and news still try to change the story and share incomplete truths. Fed up with this, Sooraj Pancholi took to Instagram and posted a long and emotional note.

He started his post by directly calling out media pages. He said that there is nothing unanswered in the case and asked them to check their facts before posting. He explained that he faced a 14-year-long court trial and the decision was made on the basis of facts, evidence and law. He was acquitted and there are no unanswered questions left from the court. He also said that all court records are public and anyone who really wants to know the truth can read them.

Talking about his painful journey, Sooraj Pancholi wrote that he was just 20 years old when the tragic incident happened. He had known Jiah Khan for only four months and he had no idea about the mental pain she was going through. He said he was too young at that age to understand that someone could be carrying so much sadness inside. He added that what happened after that incident changed his life forever.

Sooraj Pancholi further shared that he spent the next 14 years just trying to prove that he was innocent. He said those were the years when he should have been building his career and his life but instead, he spent his entire twenties and a big part of his thirties in court cases. He added that only he knows what he went through mentally and emotionally every single day. As per him, the court was the only place where he could prove his innocence, he trusted the legal system and after 14 long years, he was finally acquitted. He ended that part by saying if people still want to call him guilty after that, he doesn’t know what else he can do.

In his note, Sooraj Pancholi also said that even after suffering so much, he never revealed Jiah Khan’s personal secrets. He said that just because he has remained silent all these years, it does not give anyone the right to write anything about him. He said that out of respect for her, he never spoke publicly about the personal traumas and struggles which she had shared with him. He protected her privacy even when he was going through so much pain and now he is only asking for the same respect and fairness for himself.

Sooraj Pancholi concluded his statement on a very emotional note. He said that for other people, this might just be another news story or headline but for him, it has been his whole life. He said every careless headline, every false video and every fake story brings back the pain he has spent years trying to overcome. He requested everyone to be honest, responsible, sensitive and professional. Sooraj Pancholi said if they want to tell his story, they should tell the complete truth.
