Cricket fans witnessed a moment of pure power in the Caribbean Premier League and the Internet can’t stop talking about it.
In the thrilling match between Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, former Lucknow Super Giants opener Evin Lewis hit such a massive six that the ball flew right out of the stadium. The video of that shot is now viral on social media.

The match itself was a high-scoring chase. The Falcons were chasing 188 runs but had a very bad start. In the very first over, Kyle Mayers got Amir Jangoo out for just 2 runs. The team could only make 8 runs in the first two overs and then lost their second wicket in the fifth over.
Then came Evin Lewis’ show. The left-handed batter smashed 5 huge sixes and scored 48 runs in just 38 balls. His innings was finally ended by Kyle Mayers in the 14th over. Evin Lewis has had a mixed season so far – he scored 48 runs against St Lucia Kings in his last match but in his other two matches, he couldn’t even score 10 runs.
The game was still very close when Evin Lewis got out. Right on the next ball, the Patriots took another wicket, leaving two new batters at the crease. Later, Shadab Khan played a small but quick cameo but wickets kept falling one after another. In the end, the Falcons needed 19 runs from the last 2 overs.
The Patriots lost control in the final overs. Their two main spinners, Salamkheil and Wanindu Hasaranga, were both injured. Salamkheil had cramps but still bowled the second-last over, giving away 12 runs. Then captain Moeen Ali had to come back and bowl the last over.
With this win, the Falcons are now at number 5 on the points table with 2 wins and 2 losses in 4 matches. The Patriots are still at the bottom of the table with only 1 win in their first 4 matches.
