The Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is currently facing a lot of flak from cricket fans especially from fans of Mumbai Indians as they are not happy with the fact that he has replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI skipper.

What made the matters worse were three defeats on the trot in the first three matches but booing from public still continues even after MI won the last two matches.

Fans didn’t spare Hardik Pandya even in the last match of MI which they played against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. During the chase also when Hardik Pandya came to bat, the spectators booed him and at that time, the senior Indian cricketer Virat Kohli tried to stop the spectators and also requested them to cheer for the skipper of their favourite team.

Some fans stopped booing and started cheering for Hardik Pandya when he smashed 21 runs in just 6 balls and ensured that MI won the match.

As far as the match is concerned, the toss was won by MI and it chose to bowl first and the decision was proved correct soon as Jasprit Bumrah was literally on fire, he dismissed the in-form Virat Kohli at the score of 3 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took a fifer as he also dismissed Faf du Plessis (61 runs, 40 balls, 4 fours & 3 sixes), Saurav Chauhan (9 runs) and two batters on golden duck – Mahipal Lomror and Vyshak Vijay Kumar.

While Rajat Patidar showed the sign of coming back in form by scoring a 50 (26 balls, 3 fours & 4 sixes), Glenn Maxwell once again failed and got out for duck after facing 4 deliveries.

However, it was Dinesh Karthik who finished in style by playing a blistering knock of 53 runs not out for which he played 23 deliveries and his innings included 5 fours & 4 sixes.

RCB put up a competitive total of 196/8 on the score board and in response, MI started well as openers Ishan Kishan (69 runs, 34 balls, 7 fours & 5 sixes) and Rohit Sharma (38 balls, 24 balls, 3 fours & 3 sixes) stitched a partnership of 101 runs for the first wicket. Suryakumar Yadav made a great comeback as he smashed 52 runs on just 19 deliveries which included 5 fours & 4 sixes. The skipper Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma (16 runs) remained not out as MI chased the target successfully with 7 wickets in hand and 27 balls remaining in their innings. Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged as the Player of the Match as he ended the match with superb figures of 5/21 and he also became the second bowler to take two fifers in the IPL and the first bowler to do so against RCB.
