Jadeja Lambasts Virat Kohli For Silly Excuse Of Blaming Pitch After Hitting Slowest IPL Century

The IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore is once again going through a lean phase as it has lost 4 out of 5 matches that the team has played and currently it is sitting at the ninth position in the points table.

The problem with RCB is that it is struggling in both batting and bowling, Virat Kohli may be in sublime form of his life but all other batters (excluding Dinesh Karthik) have failed in making any impact and at the same time, the RCB bowlers have also failed in containing the opposition batters.

In the match against Rajasthan Royals, Virat Kohli smashed a century, he played a knock of 113 runs for which he faced 72 deliveries and his innings included 12 fours & 4 sixes. With his innings, Virat helped his team in posting a competitive total of 183/3 in their stipulated 20 overs.

However, even after scoring a century, Virat Kohli was criticized by many as he completed his century in 67 balls which is the joint slowest century in the history of the IPL. Nevertheless, there was a section that came out in defence of Virat Kohli, saying that he might have batted at low strike rate but he didn’t get support from other batters either.

The match was played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and after the match, Virat Kohli stated that the pitch was two-faced, the ball was not coming easily on the bat because of which playing strokes was not easy.

However, the former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja didn’t agree with Virat Kohli and he said that the pitch seemed flawless. While speaking on JioCinema, Ajay Jadeja said that Virat Kohli started with a great manner by hitting fours in the opening overs which was a signal that we all would witness a great innings. Jadeja said that he is surprised by the comment made by Virat Kohli about the pitch because after looking at his innings, the surface looked perfect.

Ajay Jadeja added that if we talk about the shots played by Virat Kohli, he played in all the corners of the field and the manner in which he played the strokes showed that there was nothing wrong with the pitch.

As far as the match is concerned, RR responded with style despite losing their opener Yashasvi Jaiswal pretty early. The skipper Sanju Samson played a superb knock of 69 runs (42 balls, 8 fours & 2 sixes) but it was England cricketer Jos Buttler who ensured that he took his team home as a winner. Opener Jos Buttler remained at the crease till the end and played a magnificent knock of 100 runs not out for which he played 58 balls and his innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes.

RR won the match by 6 wickets and currently it is at the top of the table with 4 wins in 4 matches.
