Pune Police Reacts To Ravindra Jadeja’s Incredible Catch In A Witty Tweet & People Are Loving It

There is no denying the fact that the social media platforms are of great help nowadays and various departments of Indian government are pretty active on social media these days. The Pune Police is also quite active on social media, especially on the micro-blogging site Twitter and recently it gave a witty response on the catch taken by the Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja of Neil Wagner in the second test match which was played between India and New Zealand.

In the first innings of New Zealand, the Indian bowlers did a pretty good job by taking wickets regularly but Neil Wagner and Kyle Jamieson were becoming problems as they had already scored 51 runs for the 9th wicket partnership. On the bowling of Mohammed Shami, Neil Wagner played a pull short toward the deep square leg boundary and it seemed that the ball would reach the boundary rope easily but just then, Ravindra jadeja came running and took a stunner by jumping high in the air with one hand. The catch was so superb that the commentator Ian Smith called it one of the greatest catches of all times and Twitter was flooded with admiring tweets for Jadeja.

Pune Police also praised Jadeja but in a different manner as it tweeted, “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it ‘kanoon ka haath’? @imjadeja @BCCI #INDvNZ #NZvIND”

With kanoon ka haath, Pune Police refers to the popular line, “Kanoon ke haath bahut lambe hote hain (The hands of law are very long)”.

Here’s the tweet:

Social media users loved the tweet of Pune Police and this is how Twitterati reacted:

Talking about the second test match between India and Black Caps, the hosts have defeated the visitors quite easily by 7 wickets. India was invited to bat first after New Zealand won the toss and the Indian team bundled out for just 242 runs. However, the Indian bowlers did a great job as they got the whole New Zealand team out for 235 and India got a lead of 7 runs. But in the second innings, Indian batsmen batted worse than the first innings and the entire team got out for just 124 runs. New Zealand needed 132 runs to win the test match which they scored pretty easily just by losing 3 wickets.

The Indian team was able to make an impact in the T20Is only as they whitewashed the 5-match T20I series but after that, they were not able to win a single match in the ODIs and test matches.

This was certainly a pretty bad tour for Virat Kohli led side. What do you say?
