Anand Mahindra Reacts To Pankaj Tripathi’s Viral Meme On Launching Electric Vehicles In India

The increasing prices of petrol and diesel are forcing customers to think about options of electric vehicles and the best thing about them is that they are environment friendly as well. It’s highly impossible that we talk about electric vehicles and the name of Elon Musk owned Tesla doesn’t come to mind.

Many Indians were eagerly waiting for Tesla’s entry in India but their hopes got quashed after Elon Musk made it clear in a tweet that his company would not be setting up a manufacturing plant in a place where they are not allowed to first sell and service their cars. The Indian government is in no mood to allow Tesla to import Electric cars from its Shanghai plant and the entry of Elon Musk founded company has been on hold since 2019 as India levies heavy import duty on the electric vehicles (60% on EVs priced $40K or lower & 100% on EVs priced above $40K).

In response to a query regarding Tesla’s entry in India, Elon Musk tweeted, “Tesla will not put a manufacturing plant in any location where we are not allowed first to sell & service cars”.

Meanwhile a meme is going viral on the Internet and social media, featuring a scene from a very popular web series Mirzapur in which Kaleen Bhaiya (character played by actor Pankaj Tripathi) says, “Hum Karte Hai Prabhandh, Aap Chinta Mat Kariye” (We will do something, you don’t worry).

The tweet was posted with the caption, “Tesla not coming to India. Meanwhile @anandmahindra to Indians:-”

The tweet was noticed by Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, and he made no delay in retweeting it with a laughing emoji:

Anand Mahindra is pretty active on social media and he keeps on sharing innovative, inspiring and funny things which he finds suitable for sharing.

The Mahindra group is also working on launching electric vehicles in India and recently Anand Mahindra posted some photos of their electric vehicles which made the netizens crazy:

Anand Mahindra also retweeted a wonderful response from an online user with the caption, “Got this in response to my tweet with pics or our new EVs. Forget about quantitative consumer reaction surveys @BosePratap  From now on, if you get a meme like this in reaction to new products, it means you’ve passed the test!”

Are you excited for electric vehicles which will be launched by the Mahindra Group?
