Prithvi Shaw Replied To Haters Who Heavily Trolled Him For Failure With A Motivational Post
The Australian cricketers must be pretty happy after crushing the Indian cricket team in the first test match of the 4-match test series and now the hosts have taken a lead of 1-0 in the series. The Aussies won the test match by 8 wickets and it would not be wrong to say that the Australian bowlers were so lethal in the second innings that the Indian batsmen were left completely clueless.
Netizens were also pretty harsh on the Indian cricketers as India scored its lowest score of 36 in the second innings of this test match. The main targets of the angry fans were Indian skipper Virat Kohli, head coach Ravi Shastri and the opener Prithvi Shaw.
In both the innings, the Indian openers failed to give a good start to the team and Shaw was specially targeted because in the first innings, he got out for a duck while in the second innings, he scored only 4 runs. Earlier questions were raised on his selection as he was not able to perform well in the warm-up matches and many cricket lovers wanted Shubman Gill or KL Rahul to open the innings along with Mayank Agarwal.
Prithvi Shaw became the easy target because he got out almost in a similar manner both the times and fingers were raised on his technique. Former cricketers turned commentators Sunil Gavaskar and Shane Warne are of the opinion that he needs to work on his batting technique otherwise he won’t be able to last long on the international platform.
The 21 years old Mumbai batsman got the inside edge of his bat and ball went on to hit the middle stump when he tried to play a wide delivery bowled by pacer Mitchell Starc in the first innings. In the second innings also, he got dismissed almost in the same manner on the bowling of pacer Pat Cummins.
Prithvi Shaw has now replied to trollers with a motivational message on his Instagram story in which he writes, “If sometimes people demotivate you for something you try to do, that means you can do that but they can’t.”
Here is Prithvi Shaw’s story:
The young cricketer has played 5 test matches till now and has scored 339 runs with an average of 42.4. Prithvi is still very young and we are quite sure that he won’t be disheartened with the failure in the first test match and will make a strong comeback after working on his shortcomings.
It is being said that most probably Shubman Gill will replace Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant will replace Wriddhiman Saha in the second test match which will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground starting December 26.
