Earlier this record belonged to one and only Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in 2012 where he scored fifty off just 20 balls. Here Pant remains unbeaten at 78 though, off just 27 balls.
His innings was superb, filled with sixes and fours and especially the helicopter shot, where he pitched on the leg stump to give a huge six at the deep mid wicket.
