The International Cricket Council’s Chairman Jay Shah took to social media to announce the launch of the awareness initiative ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’. This campaign aims to promote the importance of organ donation and will be highlighted during the third ODI between India and England, scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Jay Shah shared the announcement on his official account on X (formerly known as Twitter), emphasising the need to encourage people to help those in need through organ donation.

Jay Shah wrote, “On the occasion of the 3rd ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on February 12th, we are proud to launch an awareness initiative – ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’. Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and create lasting impact beyond the field. Through this initiative, we urge everyone to take a step towards giving the greatest gift of all – the gift of life. Meanwhile, in the ongoing ODI series, India has already secured the series victory after winning the second match by four wickets at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Rohit Sharma led the charge with a stunning return to form, scoring 119 runs off 90 balls. Shubman Gill provided solid support with 60 runs, while Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel contributed valuable knocks of 44 and 41 runs, respectively, ensuring India’s triumph.
