“Virat Kohli Isn’t A Thug, He’s A Modern Day Icon,” Tino Best Hits Out At English Media

The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive and expressive behaviour on the field and because of this, he has also faced criticism on many occasions. Currently, he is on the radar of the former England cricketers and English media for his antics in the recently concluded fifth rescheduled test match against England which was played at Edgbaston.

Virat Kohli has been going through a rough patch, he hasn’t scored a century in any format for the last two years and this is definitely giving more ammunition to his haters for slamming him. He is one of very few Indian cricketers who don’t mind sledging the opposition players because he is a very competitive cricketer and leaves no stone unturned in winning the match.

Recently, an English journalist George Dobell shared a photo from Edgbaston test match on Twitter in which Virat Kohli is seen near the danger area of the pitch with the caption, “An interesting place to celebrate the wicket of Alex Lees… Pic credit: @dudleyplatypus”

With this tweet, George Dobell wanted to imply that Virat Kohli was trying to ruin the pitch in order to make it difficult for the batters to bat. However soon George Dobell got a perfect answer from Tino Best, the former West Indian pacer who came heavily upon the journalist and the English press as well.

Tino Best wrote, “Bro y’all Reaching Now FFS , …… anyone who’s BOLD and brown or black y’all always got a Dammmm problem with anyone who challenges y’all its an issue, I’m tired  of reading the English press talk crap about Virat or any player who isn’t English .”

Tino Best is pretty much straight forward when he says that English journalists have problem with anyone who is bold and brown or black and this certainly makes George Dobell a little upset who tells Tino that he is not like that. Later on Tino makes it clear that he has said this in a general manner about English media and asked George Dobell to tell his mate that Virat Kohli is not a thug, he is modern day icon.

Tino Best wrote, “For sure George you’re a real one but the others alway reaching from the English commentators etc etc , tell your mate that Virat isn’t a thug he’s a modern day Icon simple……. But then again he isn’t English so we would get these types of Articles make them Grovel”.

The Indians may have lost the fifth test match but they started the T20I series with a bang by winning the first T20I of the three match series by 50 runs. Virat Kohli didn’t play the first T20I but he will be back in the team from the second T20I and his fans are really hoping to see him perform well.
