Fan Trolled Viru Said He Didn’t Call Spinner As Bowler But He Was Also Spinner. He Gave Witty Reply

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag will always be remembered as one of the best hitters of the ball and watching him bat was always a delight for cricket lovers. However, he has not stopped hitting fours and sixes even after retirement the only difference is that now he plays on social media where he has a huge following, thanks to his witty tweets and replies.

Viru is also known for speaking his mind and his approach towards the spin bowlers was revealed by Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin during a chat show. Ashwin told that during a training session when they were touring Sri Lanka, Sehwag thrashed his bowling left and right, no matter where he bowled. As per Ashwin, Viru told him that as off-spinners didn’t trouble him at all, he doesn’t even consider them as bowlers. The method that Sehwag used to play off-spinners was that he hit them on the off side with spin and as far as the left-hand off-spinners are concerned, he used the technique of hitting them on the leg side against spin.

Recently, a fan of Sehwag tried to troll him by saying that he didn’t consider spinners as bowlers but he himself used to bowl spin.

Viru responded in a classy manner by saying that he never considered himself as a bowler too.

Well, that was a cool reply but in reality, Sehwag was a pretty good part-time bowler who took 40 wickets in Test matches and 96 in ODIs. Moreover, who can forget that he was also one of the bowlers who bowled in the decisive bowl-out against Pakistan in the first match of T20i World Cup, 2017.
