This becomes their highest successful run chase in the IPL history and ranks among the top chases in the tournament overall. For context, the highest successful chase still belongs to Punjab Kings, who chased down 262 against KKR in 2024.

This was also the sixth time MI successfully chased a 200-plus total, placing them second on the all-time list, just behind Punjab Kings. What made this victory even more special was the timing. He emphasised that the film does not include any such scene and that the image is completely fabricated. Aditya Dhar also suggested that the altered photo may have been deliberately created to provoke and mislead audiences.

Addressing concerns, the director made it clear that he deeply respects the Sikh community. He assured that every portrayal in the film has been handled carefully, keeping dignity and sensitivity in mind. He also urged the public not to trust unofficial content and instead rely only on verified material released by the makers.

The controversy began when a group called ‘Sikhs in Maharashtra’ approached the police in Mumbai. In their complaint filed at Mulund police station on March 17, they objected to a poster allegedly showing Ranveer Singh in Sikh attire, complete with a turban, beard and kada while holding a cigarette. These elements are considered sacred in Sikhism, which is why the image caused concern.

As of now, authorities have not registered an FIR and the matter is still under investigation.

For now, the filmmaker hopes this clarification will put an end to the confusion and prevent further spread of misinformation.

According to the studio, the tattoo is not just about aesthetics, it represents Virat Kohli’s evolution as a person. Instead of adding a completely new and separate design, the artists aimed to connect his past and present through one continuous piece. The idea was to turn different elements from various phases of his life into a unified story.

The design process involved reworking Virat Kohli’s older tattoos, including an incomplete armband inspired by Lord Shiva. Over time, these earlier tattoos had faded and lost their sharpness. The artists carefully assessed what needed to be improved, some parts were covered, others refined and several new elements were added thoughtfully. The goal was to transform what once felt like separate fragments into a smooth, flowing sleeve.

A major focus at the beginning was restoring the armband so it could blend naturally with the rest of the design. From there, the artwork expands downward from the elbow into an intricate mandala created using dotwork, which helps tie the entire sleeve together visually.

Different tattooing techniques have been used to give the sleeve depth and variation. The front of the arm features soft semi-realistic elements, while the back includes a geometric flower created with stippling. This mix of styles adds both texture and contrast, making the tattoo visually dynamic.

As the design moves upward toward the tricep and shoulder, it introduces floral elements like a peony and a lotus. The lotus, in particular, holds strong symbolic meaning. It represents rising above challenges, growing in difficult conditions yet remaining pure and unaffected. This idea reflects qualities like resilience, calmness and focus, traits often associated with Virat Kohli’s journey.

8 Players Who Will Miss Few Matches Or Complete IPL 2026 Due To Various Reasons
